ExpressDocs Urgent Care Center is seeking a medical biller and coder to support accurate medical coding, billing, claims submission, and follow-up for an urgent care facility.
The role involves working with patient records, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to help ensure timely reimbursement and compliant billing practices.
Work location is in person at the Delray Beach, Florida facility.
• Proven experience as a medical biller or in a similar role • Strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, including DRG coding • Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Knowledge of insurance guidelines and reimbursement processes • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times • Certification in medical billing or coding preferred but not required • Willingness to complete drug screening, background check, and reference/work history verification
