The Coder II applies intermediate-level coding knowledge to assign diagnosis and procedure codes accurately, review clinical documentation for coding accuracy and compliance, monitor bill hold reports, and support coding quality initiatives. This role also helps mentor and train less experienced coders and coding students.

Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous coding experience
Preferred
- Associate degree in Health Information Technology or a related field
