We are seeking an experienced Senior Facility Coder to perform one-path facility coding for inpatient, observation, swing bed, and ambulatory surgery encounters. This role requires a coder who can review the full clinical encounter, identify documentation and compliance concerns, research complex coding scenarios, and manage multiple client responsibilities with accuracy and productivity.
The position is remote and part of Ni2 Health, an Infinx company. The team values collaboration, adaptability, accountability, and independent work in a metric-driven environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of recent hospital/facility coding experience
- Experience coding inpatient, observation, swing bed, and ambulatory surgery encounters
- One-path coding experience
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT/HCPCS, MS-DRGs, and official coding guidelines
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client assignments
- Strong critical-thinking, research, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain at least 95% coding accuracy while meeting productivity standards
- Experience with multiple EHR systems
- Working knowledge of HIPAA, documentation standards, and audit expectations
- Comfortable working in a remote, metric-driven environment
Preferred qualifications
- CCS certification preferred
- Experience with Critical Access Hospitals is a plus
