Medical Coding Quality Analyst

Medical Coding Quality Analyst role supporting coding quality, audit, and education functions for a healthcare organization.

This position works Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the employee’s time zone. The role is remote and part of the Health Support Center team.

You will audit coder work, support coding education, and assist with coding-related projects, including RAC audits. The position collaborates closely with the Quality Supervisor, Manager of Coding Quality, the Centralized Coding Unit, and vendor partners.

Key responsibilities include applying coding classification standards, reviewing medical record documentation, validating coder work, researching missing or unclear documentation, assigning ICD-10, HCPCS/CPT, and modifiers as appropriate, supporting process development, meeting deadlines, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Required experience:

  • 5 years of medical abstract coding/auditing professional fee experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of coding audit or quality review experience

Required certification:

  • AAPC Auditing Certification (CPMA)

Additional preferred or eligible certifications:
