Baptist Health is seeking an Inpatient Coder to join its team. This is a remote position requiring residency in Kentucky or Indiana.
The coder will function in a fully accountable role, ensuring the overall quality of inpatient coding with continuous quality improvement when needed. Responsibilities include accurate and complete coding for measuring and reporting physician and hospital outcomes, while maintaining current knowledge of clinical coding documentation requirements and guidelines in accordance with Coding Clinic and AHA Official Coding Guidelines.

Qualifications
- Associate degree
- In lieu of an associate degree, a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credential with 2 years of inpatient coding experience
- New AHIMA-credential-eligible graduates may be considered
- RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification required
- Microsoft Office experience
- EHR and encoder experience preferred
