Certified Medical Coder

Lincoln Family Wellness is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Certified Professional Coder (CPC) to join a busy, patient-centered family medicine clinic with 7 providers. The role focuses on accurate physician coding, documentation review, and supporting timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities include:

• Review provider documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes
• Code Evaluation & Management (E/M) services, procedures, laboratory services, and diagnostic imaging
• Ensure coding compliance with payer regulations, CMS guidelines, and coding best practices
• Submit accurate coding to support timely claims processing and reimbursement
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to resolve coding and documentation questions
• Identify documentation deficiencies and educate providers on coding requirements when appropriate
• Stay current on coding updates, payer policies, and regulatory changes
• Assist with coding audits and compliance initiatives as needed
