BH Shared Services, a UHS company, is seeking an experienced Certified Coder to join the Central Appeals Office.
This role is responsible for high-quality, timely coding of inpatient and outpatient accounts, including diagnosis and procedure coding across multiple facilities. The position requires accurate assignment of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes, adherence to coding guidelines and UHS coding policies, and strong knowledge of behavioral health coding and medical terminology.
This is a fully remote position.
High school diploma or GED required.
RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CPC certification required.
1-3 years of related experience required.
Graduation from a certified coding program required.
Knowledge of computer applications such as MS4 and 3M required.
EMR experience preferred.
Must be able to review the medical record, communicate with HIM staff, and maintain confidentiality of medical information.
