Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a part-time coder in its Kaysville Business Office.
The role is responsible for maintaining coding compliance for a multi-specialty clinic, auditing procedure and diagnostic codes for accuracy and completeness, and supporting coding operations using standard office software. The position also requires applying Medicare CCI and payer edits and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required
Experience
- Coding experience preferred
Other requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong knowledge of computers and other office equipment
- Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret medical charts
- Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with others
