Work remotely as a professional fee anesthesia and surgery coder supporting healthcare organizations nationwide.
This role is responsible for accurately coding complex surgical encounters across multiple specialties, with a strong emphasis on anesthesia coding. The position helps ensure coding accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement while supporting clean claims and revenue cycle performance.

Requirements & Qualifications
Must hold a current AAPC or AHIMA credential: CPC or CCS.
- Minimum of 5 years of certified experience
- At least 5 years of recent experience abstracting CPT, E/M, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes from provider documentation
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia, cardiothoracic surgery, ENT surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and urology surgery
- Extensive medical terminology knowledge
- Experience researching and applying coding rules and regulations
- Experience entering codes into a database and/or software tool
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and EMR systems
- Experience with EMD, RCx, and Touchworks preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
