American Endovascular is an interventional radiology outpatient company seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Coder to join a growing team. The role is responsible for assigning ICD-10 and CPT codes for office-based interventional radiology services and entering charges related to patient services.
The ideal candidate lives on the East Coast in the Eastern Time Zone, with a strong preference for Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, or New Jersey. This is a remote, full-time position.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required experience
- Current, valid AAPC certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Minimum 5 years of medical coding experience
- ICD-10 experience: 1 year required
- Interventional radiology experience: 1 year required
- E&M coding experience required
- CIRCC certification/licensure required
Preferred experience
- Interventional radiology coding experience
- Familiarity with CMS guidelines and AAPC coding resources
- Understanding of revenue cycle processes and clinical/billing systems
Other qualifications
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to manage a high volume of charges with accuracy
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
