AltaMed is seeking a Certified Coder I to support compliant billing, reimbursement, quality reporting, and regulatory requirements. The role reviews medical documentation and assigns accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and applicable modifier codes. This position also performs routine coding review, charge reconciliation, and provider education under general supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 1 year of medical coding, charge review, billing edits, or healthcare revenue cycle experience
- CPC required or CCS preferred within 6 months of hire if not already obtained
