Responsible for reviewing and coding home health and hospice records using clinical documentation such as H&P, discharge summaries, progress notes, and F2F notes.
This role documents coding recommendations, supports OASIS edits, collaborates with team leads and denials teams to resolve coding-related issues, and helps maintain quality, compliance, and productivity standards.
The position also requires maintaining current coding knowledge, supporting timely OASIS review and submission workflows in the EMR, and helping improve outcomes through training and reporting support.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of professional fee coding experience
- At least 1 year of coding experience in home health and hospice specialties
- Relevant education may substitute for experience requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology preferred
- Knowledge of pathophysiology preferred
- Coding certification required
- OASIS certification preferred
