Our client, a Northwell Health-affiliated revenue cycle and practice management company, is seeking an Anesthesia/Surgical Coder to join their growing team.
This is a full-time hybrid role with a consistent weekday schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
Responsibilities include reviewing anesthesia records, assigning accurate CPT and ICD-10 codes, posting charges, reconciling charges with operating room schedules, resolving anesthesia time discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with HIPAA, payer, and regulatory standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- CPC (AAPC) or CCS (AHIMA) certification
- 2+ years of professional anesthesia or surgical coding experience
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding guidelines
- Familiarity with EPIC is preferred
- Ability to maintain at least 95% coding accuracy and meet productivity benchmarks
