We are hiring a Coding Quality Supervisor to join UnityPoint Health. This role oversees day-to-day coding quality operations, coaches and mentors team members, assigns work to ensure resources are used effectively, and supports the Coding Quality Manager with administrative tasks as needed.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Location: Remote, with applicants required to reside within the UnityPoint Health footprint of Iowa, Illinois, or Wisconsin.
The position supports a healthcare organization focused on quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a changing healthcare environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in HIM or Coding preferred
Experience
- 5+ years of progressive experience in coding, auditing, and/or coding quality required
- 1 year of project management experience required
- Experience in measurement/analytics, data collection, analysis, and interpretation preferred
- Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS preferred
- Experience with auditing and clinical chart reviews preferred
- Supervisory or leadership experience preferred
Certifications
- Required upon hire: CCS, CCS-P, CPC/COC, CIC, or CPC-H
- Required within 180 days of hire: CPMA or CDIP
- RHIT or RHIA preferred
