As a Home Health Coder II, you will review and code home health and hospice records using clinical notes and related documentation. You will document coding recommendations, support OASIS edits, and partner with team leads and denials teams to resolve coding-related issues.
This role is part of Parallon’s revenue cycle and health information management services, supporting home health and hospice coding accuracy, workflow efficiency, and compliance with applicable coding guidelines and federal regulations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 2 years of professional fee coding experience required
- At least 1 year of coding experience in home health and hospice specialties
- Relevant education may substitute for experience requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology preferred
- Knowledge of pathophysiology preferred
- Coding certification required
- OASIS certification preferred but not required
