You will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning appropriate codes, entering data into EMR/EHR systems, submitting clean claims, following up on unpaid or denied claims, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining documentation related to billing and collections.
Proven experience in medical billing and coding within a healthcare setting or medical office environment.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for patient records and billing workflows.
Proficiency in ICD-9/ICD-10, CPT coding, DRG assignment, and medical records management.
Ability to interpret complex medical documentation accurately and translate it into appropriate codes.
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
