Full-time Medical Coder/Billing Specialist for a pediatric office.
Fast-paced, growing pediatric practice seeking a motivated and experienced team member to support coding, billing, and front office coverage as needed.
Key duties include:
- Enter patient demographic and insurance information into the practice management system
- Verify eligibility and benefits with insurance carriers
- Assign and enter CPT and ICD-10 codes for daily patient activity
- Maintain accuracy through check-and-balance processes
- Assist with billing office calls
- Post patient and insurance payments
- Research claim denials
- Cross-train as a fill-in receptionist when needed
Requirements & Qualifications
Must have:
- Medical Billing/Coding diploma or certificate, or 2 years of equivalent experience
- Experience in a medical office setting
- Proficiency with medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to plan and prioritize workflow
- Team-oriented, motivated, and self-starting approach
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
