Proliance Surgeons is seeking a remote Revenue Cycle Specialist to join the Revenue Cycle team. This role is responsible for supporting bill processes across charge entry, billing, claims, patient accounts receivable, and insurance accounts receivable.
The position also includes posting payments, handling credit resolutions, and performing other revenue cycle functions. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
Key duties include verifying claim information prior to billing, reviewing surgical coding for accuracy, processing primary/secondary/tertiary claims, handling edits and rejections, posting patient and insurance payments, managing credit resolution, processing bad debt, answering phones, and assisting as needed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of medical billing experience
- CPC or equivalent certification
- Orthopedic coding experience preferred
- Experience with NextGen and Amkai billing systems preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- High level of independence, adaptability, and accuracy
- Ability to navigate online payer portals and websites
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Ability to manage multiple factors and solve first-level problems
- Clear oral and written communication
- Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
