The Charge Entry Specialist is responsible for the rapid and accurate entry of medical charges and claims for Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and Chronic Care Management (CCM) service lines. This role involves working in NextGen practice management software, handling high-volume data entry, and supporting Medicare care management programs.
- Minimum 1+ years of charge entry or data entry experience
- Hands-on experience and proficiency with NextGen software
- Strong knowledge of Medicare billing guidelines, especially for non-face-to-face care management programs such as RPM and CCM
- Certification in medical coding and billing preferred, such as CPC, CPC-A, RHIT, or CCS
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and strong computer skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to enter medical claims in NextGen EMR
