Medical Coder and Biller

Child Health Associates

Child Health Associates is seeking an experienced Medical Coder/Biller to join its Billing team.

This full-time, on-site role is based in the Auburn office and focuses on accurate coding, timely billing, reimbursement support, and maintaining quality patient care.

Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred
  • 2–3 years of medical coding and billing experience, including significant E/M coding experience
  • Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and CMS documentation guidelines
  • Experience with EPIC or another electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines

Preferred experience:

  • Pediatric or physician practice coding experience
  • Experience with Medicaid and commercial insurance plans
  • Familiarity with payer-specific coding and reimbursement guidelines
  • Prior coding audit or compliance experience
