CareWell Health is seeking an experienced Medical Coding Manager to oversee inpatient, outpatient, ED, and SDS coding operations. This role is responsible for coding production, quality, consistency, analytics, reporting, education, and team development while supporting a smooth billing process and organizational growth.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in health information systems or a related field
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) required; CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA accepted as one of the required credentials
- Minimum 5 years of medical office or hospital coding experience
- Management or lead experience preferred
- Auditing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT-4, HCPCS, and DRG concepts
- Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and electronic coding systems
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain accuracy and attention to detail
