Able Home Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Home Health Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to support accurate reimbursement and efficient revenue cycle operations. This role is based in San Diego, CA and focuses on home health billing compliance, claims processing, coding accuracy, and coordination with clinical and administrative teams.
In this role, you will help ensure timely claim submission, proper coding, and follow-up on denied or unpaid claims while maintaining compliance with CMS home health billing requirements and OASIS documentation standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of medical billing and coding experience, preferably in home health or skilled nursing
- Proficiency in ICD-10-CM coding and home health-specific billing guidelines
- Knowledge of Medicare home health PPS, RAPs, and PDGM billing requirements
- CPC, CCS, or equivalent medical coding certification preferred
- Experience with home health EMR/billing software such as Kinnser, MatrixCare, or similar
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
