Abbeville General Hospital is hiring a Revenue Integrity Specialist for the Laboratory Department. This position supports revenue cycle oversight, compliance monitoring, and patient interaction.
Responsibilities include answering phones, greeting patients and visitors, reviewing billing alerts and compliance issues, verifying insurance and medical necessity, processing invoices, maintaining accurate documentation, assisting with patient registration, and supporting reporting and data collection. The role also works closely with staff, physicians, and leadership to maintain billing and documentation integrity.
High school diploma required.
2–5 years of previous work experience in registration, billing, and/or coding.
Experience in revenue cycle processes preferred.
Training in billing, coding, and revenue cycle preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, supervisors, and staff.
Must be able to perform medium work, including occasional lifting of 21–50 pounds and frequent lifting of 11–25 pounds. May assist with turning, lifting, or moving patients and walking throughout hospital areas.
