Callagy is seeking a persistent, organized, and resourceful Medical Insurance & Reimbursement Specialist to join a fast-paced, high-volume team.
This role focuses on insurance follow-up, medical reimbursement, account research, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will work accounts through to resolution by identifying issues, following up with insurers, and keeping detailed records of next steps.
Requirements & Qualifications
Preferred Background
- Medical and/or insurance experience
- Experience in medical offices or healthcare environments
- Background in medical billing, reimbursement, accounts receivable, or collections
- Experience with insurance claims or payment processing
- Experience with insurance carriers or third-party administrators
- Experience in PIP, No-Fault, or similar insurance-related environments
- Frequent interaction with insurance companies
Skills and Qualities
- Persistent and detail-oriented
- Organized and able to manage a high-volume workload
- Comfortable on the phone
- Confident asking questions and following up until issues are resolved
- Able to research discrepancies and determine next steps
- Strong note-taking and account-tracking skills
