CareDx is a precision medicine diagnostics company focused on transplant, specialty oncology, and cell therapy. The Insurance Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for maximizing reimbursement by collecting outstanding balances from insurance companies.
This role follows up on unresolved claims and appeals, escalates claims through up to three levels of appeals, and works closely with the Payer Dispute Resolution and Market Access teams to help ensure appropriate coverage and reimbursement from contracted, non-contracted, and government payers.
This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed. Candidates within commuting distance of the Brisbane, CA office will be expected to work on-site on a regular basis, while remote candidates may work from home and collaborate remotely.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of experience in medical billing
- Strong preference for molecular laboratory billing experience
- Medical billing experience may be substituted with a bachelor's degree
- Working knowledge of health insurance and terminology
- Understanding of HIPAA and proper handling of PHI
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Meticulous attention to detail
