This full-time Billing Specialist role is based in person at the Wayne Avenue corporate office in Dayton, Ohio. The position focuses on behavioral healthcare billing, claims follow-up, insurance verification, and data entry.
Key responsibilities include billing Medicaid, Medicare, and board programs, supporting Behavioral Healthcare Redesign billing, using the CareLogic electronic health record, identifying and correcting billing rejections, resubmitting claims to payers, and verifying and documenting insurance eligibility.
- Previous medical billing experience preferred
- Certified Medicaid Billing Specialist preferred
- Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheets
- High school diploma required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create and review reports and interpret data
- Able to work under deadlines with minimal supervision
- Self-starter who is dependable, teachable, and motivated
