We are seeking a friendly, dedicated, and skilled Dental Assistant to join a close-knit and welcoming team. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and customer service skills, be a team player, and be able to multitask and handle changes or interruptions with professionalism and patience. This role requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Take radiographs as needed while following radiation safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Eaglesoft software.
- Manage appointment scheduling and patient communications, serving in a dental receptionist capacity when necessary.
- Provide patient education on post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Knowledge of ADA coding and documentation practices is a plus.
- Ability to take X-rays and understand radiographic techniques.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
