Northern Medical is seeking a full-time Payment Poster to join its Billing Department. This is a detail-oriented role at a growing multi-specialty, multi-site medical practice focused on accurate payment entry, reconciliation, and review of insurance and patient payments while maintaining compliance with reimbursement policies and billing guidelines.
Responsibilities include posting insurance and patient payments accurately and timely, interpreting and applying denial codes, reviewing and reconciling EOBs and ERAs, applying CPT and ICD-10 knowledge in payment processing, using medical billing software and payer website resources, and communicating with billing team members to resolve discrepancies.
- Knowledge of payment entry and denial codes required
- Familiarity with CPT codes and ICD-10 codes
- Experience with medical billing software
- eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is a plus
- Ability to navigate payer portals and reimbursement policies
