The Denials Liaison supports the execution of denials prevention strategies across the Mass General Brigham enterprise. This role analyzes insurance denials performance, identifies trends and root causes, and recommends process and system improvements to reduce rejections and write-offs.
The position collaborates with revenue cycle, coding, finance, payer operations, contracting, revenue integrity, and training teams. The Denials Liaison also leads prevention workgroups, tracks assigned initiatives, and presents updates and recommendations to leadership.
Bachelor’s degree required; Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or Finance preferred.
2+ years of experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management in a healthcare setting required.
Experience in denials management, appeals, or a related role preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Expert-level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize work and resources to meet deadlines.
Problem-solving skills related to denial analysis.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to build strong working relationships across entities and leadership levels.
