Field Reimbursement and Market Access Manager

The company’s initial focus is benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and its AQUABEAM System delivers Aquablation therapy, a minimally invasive surgical robot designed to safely and effectively treat BPH.

Opportunity

This field-based role supports reimbursement strategy and market access efforts for the AquaBeam Robotic System within a designated territory. The position helps facilitate patient access to therapy and surgery, reduce reimbursement barriers for providers, and optimize market access for Aquablation.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Educate and train new hospitals and practices on coding, coverage, payment, and patient authorization rules, regulations, and processes.
  • Organize and lead reimbursement education meetings for existing customers.
  • Serve as the primary ongoing reimbursement resource for hospital and practice customers.
  • Partner closely with field sales teams across the territory.
  • Work with patients to help them understand insurance coverage and payer appeals processes.
  • Collect, analyze, present, and discuss customer financial data during business reviews.
  • Travel extensively within the field territory and collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams.
Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of medical device reimbursement and/or health economics experience.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. private payers and Medicare coverage and payment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem solving.
  • Strong communication, education, writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to present reimbursement strategies to physicians, physician offices, hospital administrators, and key opinion leaders.
  • Prior experience working closely with field sales teams.
  • Comfortable working virtually with flexible workplace arrangements and business virtual technologies.
  • Ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Proximity to a major airport is a plus.
