Opportunity
This field-based role supports reimbursement strategy and market access efforts for the AquaBeam Robotic System within a designated territory. The position helps facilitate patient access to therapy and surgery, reduce reimbursement barriers for providers, and optimize market access for Aquablation.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Educate and train new hospitals and practices on coding, coverage, payment, and patient authorization rules, regulations, and processes.
- Organize and lead reimbursement education meetings for existing customers.
- Serve as the primary ongoing reimbursement resource for hospital and practice customers.
- Partner closely with field sales teams across the territory.
- Work with patients to help them understand insurance coverage and payer appeals processes.
- Collect, analyze, present, and discuss customer financial data during business reviews.
- Travel extensively within the field territory and collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of medical device reimbursement and/or health economics experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. private payers and Medicare coverage and payment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem solving.
- Strong communication, education, writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to present reimbursement strategies to physicians, physician offices, hospital administrators, and key opinion leaders.
- Prior experience working closely with field sales teams.
- Comfortable working virtually with flexible workplace arrangements and business virtual technologies.
- Ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
- Proximity to a major airport is a plus.
