CodaMetrix is an AI-powered autonomous coding company focused on revenue cycle management. The platform translates clinical information into accurate medical codes to improve efficiency, support value-based care, and help clinicians spend more time on patient care.
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Medical Coding & Audit and plays a key part in ensuring coding quality expectations are met and exceeded. The position supports coding quality improvement, customer implementations, workflow analysis, and collaboration with internal teams such as Machine Learning, Product, Data Science, and Customer Success.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing and documenting customer coding practices and workflows to support optimal product use
- Identifying best practices for coding automation and workflow improvements
- Supporting coding quality assessment projects, including work assignments, training, and quality assurance for offshore coding staff
- Presenting audit results to customer stakeholders and supporting go-live sign-off
- Serving as a subject matter expert on medical coding and billing across assigned service lines
- Providing coding and billing guidance to support Machine Learning and Product teams
- Developing and delivering training and evaluation materials for colleagues and customers
- Participating in customer implementations to ensure accurate and efficient deployment of CodaMetrix solutions
- Staying current with coding and billing changes while maintaining compliance with legal and ethical standards
Qualifications
- Current AHIMA or AAPC coding credential held for 5+ years
- 5+ years of coding and auditing experience with progressive growth in responsibilities
- CPC, CCS, and/or CIRCC certification required
- Demonstrated experience with CPT coding in pathology
- Radiology coding experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and creativity in problem-solving
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment under time constraints
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, patient demeanor
