Revenue Cycle Analyst / Medical Billing role supporting the Cardiology team in Niskayuna, NY. This is a full-time, day-shift position based in the office at 2546 Balltown Road, with remote work allowed one day per week after training.
The role supports efficient, service-oriented medical practice operations and focuses on claims work queues, referrals, authorizations, clinical workflow, charge reconciliation, claims submission, and denial resolution. The position also works closely with practice management and revenue cycle leadership to improve billing performance, identify trends, and support timely, accurate claim processing.
Additional responsibilities include monitoring front-end metrics, ensuring clean claims submission, reviewing outstanding balances, assisting with patient financial assistance options, and serving as a superuser/resource for the site.
3+ years of experience in a physician practice or billing office Cardiology billing experience required High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred Knowledge of CPC Knowledge of CPT, CPT II, and ICD-10 Knowledge of insurance carriers Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management Ability to work independently with little supervision Ability to escalate issues appropriately Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and related computer programs Ability to lift 20 lbs
