The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients and referral sources. This role supports front desk operations, patient communication, scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, chart maintenance, and coordination with billing and clinical staff to ensure smooth clinic workflow and accurate documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or associate degree
- Related experience and/or training
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
- Comfortable interacting with children, families, and referral sources
- Ability to handle pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality
- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic charting systems
- Ability to maintain HIPAA compliance
