Adventist Health Tillamook is hiring a full-time, day shift HIM Technician for onsite work in Tillamook, OR.
This role supports health information management operations by preparing medical records for scanning, retrieving and filing paper charts, assisting with release of information services, and entering birth certificate information into the electronic birth certificate system.
Additional responsibilities include reviewing transcription queues, releasing documents to PowerChart, maintaining scanning equipment, assisting with chart audits and deficiency analysis, and supporting physicians and users with chart and documentation questions.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate or technical degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Key qualifications
- Ability to prepare, scan, file, and track medical records accurately
- Familiarity with chart tracking, document imaging, and medical record workflows
- Ability to support release of information and birth certificate processes
- Strong attention to quality, accuracy, and productivity standards
