ExamWorks is seeking an IME Specialist to lead operational billing and collections activity for independent medical examination services.
This role functions internally as a Billing and Collections Supervisor and focuses on insurance claims related to first-party no-fault disability, personal liability injury/third-party auto, and workers' compensation.
The position oversees a team of five, ensuring timely invoicing, monitoring aging accounts, handling collection activity professionally, and supporting business unit billing operations in accordance with company policies and applicable state and federal guidelines.
This is a full-time Monday through Friday role, 8:00am to 5:00pm, located onsite in Roseland, New Jersey.
Must have prior experience with IMEs, insurance claims, or the medical legal arena, with exposure to billing or collections and team leadership.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3 to 5 years of experience required.
Ability to work onsite in Roseland, NJ.
Strong knowledge of billing and collections processes, accounts aging, invoicing, and client communication.
Experience with software such as Collect-IT is preferred.
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Great Plains, and internet-based tools.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to supervise staff, manage workflow, and handle confidential financial information.
Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform accurately under pressure and deadlines.
