Provides clinical and administrative support for University Health and Counseling Services at Northeastern University, serving students with preventative and urgent health care needs.
This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, in-person role with one weekday evening.
Key responsibilities include patient check-in, taking vital signs, point-of-care testing, scheduling follow-up care, documenting records and authorizations, assisting with medication administration and vaccinations, supporting clinicians during exams and procedures, coordinating specimen handling and lab drop-off, and helping with facility preparation and maintenance.
The role also supports patient education, quality assurance standards, and monitoring of medical and pharmaceutical supplies.
Qualifications
- MA certification
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Experience using computer systems, web-based applications, and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work inclusively in a diverse student and colleague environment
- Ability to manage sequential and simultaneous tasks in a busy outpatient clinical setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive work style
Preferred
- Previous experience in a fast-paced, student-facing environment
- Knowledge of Massachusetts immunization compliance
