As a HIM Specialist, you will help ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completion of facility health records to support treatment, continuity of care, reimbursement, regulatory compliance, and legal needs.
You will analyze health records for completeness and accuracy, monitor deficiencies and delinquency processes, and support document preparation, scanning, indexing, and quality review of paper records.
This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and comfort working with health information processes and documentation systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in Health Information Management, medical records, or a related healthcare administrative role preferred
- Knowledge of medical record processes such as record analysis, deficiency tracking, scanning, and indexing preferred
