The Manager of Operations for Medical Record Retrieval is responsible for ensuring required tasks are completed consistently, timely, and professionally. This role focuses on operational organization, employee engagement and development, work quality, efficiency, planning, customer-oriented thinking, and P&L profitability.
The position works closely with the Director of Operations and other leaders to implement processes that support excellent member experience and market-leading performance quality. This is an on-site role at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in Midtown, with occasional travel to a Queens clinic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and prior experience preferred
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
- Ability to manage teams and maintain accountability
- High proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
- Comfortable handling confidential materials and information
- Willingness to travel as needed, including overnight stays
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of release of information specialists to achieve goals efficiently and profitably
- Hire, retain, coach, and develop employees
- Manage onsite coverage, scheduling, and backup coverage as needed
- Work with domestic and global partners to maintain turnaround time and quality standards
- Maintain and update SOPs, training, and client-specific instructions
- Participate in client meetings and support new client implementations
- Prepare monthly portfolio presentations for senior leadership
- Review financial performance and support budgeting and fiscal planning
- Partner with Client Success, Solutions, and IT to resolve issues and improve service delivery
