Under general supervision, coordinates the processing of applications, appointments, and privileging for medical staff and allied health professionals. This role is responsible for managing credentialing and privileging activities, maintaining credential and privileges records, coordinating meetings, resolving issues, and supporting medical staff committees.
Key duties include collecting and entering call schedules, coordinating physician orientation, preparing committee agendas and minutes, maintaining a credentialing database, and ensuring accurate reporting to downstream systems. The position also supports long- and short-term planning for medical staff operations and communicates professionally with physicians regarding questions and concerns.
Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Required
- High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of medical staff/credentialing or health care setting experience
- OR associate degree in business, health care administration, applied sciences, or related field with 2 years of medical staff/credentialing or health care setting experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to participate effectively in meetings, committees, and institutional initiatives
- Working knowledge of hospital accreditation, credentialing, privileging, appointment, and licensure requirements
- Strong organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and internet resources
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration, or related field
- NAMSS certification: CPMSM or CPCS
