Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and serve as the face of the clinic
  • Verify insurance coverage before services are provided
  • Explain costs, billing processes, and insurance details to patients
  • Identify and resolve insurance discrepancies and billing issues
  • Process payments, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins
  • Maintain organized patient records and follow HIPAA requirements
  • Support patient satisfaction while helping protect clinic revenue

Work Environment

  • Full-time urgent care front desk role
  • Flexible shifts, including some evenings and weekends
  • On-site position at a state-of-the-art urgent care facility
Requirements & Qualifications

Requirements

  • Experience with insurance verification and medical billing is required
  • Ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and empathetically
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in a medical office, as a medical receptionist, administrative assistant, or customer service role is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical billing software and EMR systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude when handling difficult financial conversations
  • High school diploma preferred
  • X-Ray Tech, Medical Assistant, or related certification is a plus
  • Active BLS certification required or must be obtained during onboarding
