Medical Front Office Receptionist
Organized, personable medical office specialist needed to provide excellent patient care from the moment someone walks through the door.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Answer phones and direct calls
- Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Collect co-pays and process patient payments
- Enter and update patient demographic information
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits
- Confirm prior authorizations and referrals are in place before appointments
- Ensure medical records are received ahead of patient visits
- Make appointment confirmation calls to patients
- Answer patient questions and resolve concerns
- Support the team with additional duties as needed
Schedule and pay
- Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- Pay based on experience
- Hourly pay: $12.00 - $14.00
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior medical office experience preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes
- Comfortable using computers and EHR systems
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Positive, patient-first attitude
- Spanish speaking skills preferred
