Responsible for coordinating patient care as patients arrive from a referring medical office through scheduling and registration for services at the Issaquah Highlands facility.
Performs front office clerical and pre-business services within the hospital setting, including patient registration, scheduling, insurance verification, obtaining physician orders and referrals, and triaging phone calls.
This role requires strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills focused on patient care matters.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 1 year of recent receptionist or front desk experience in a health care field
- Experience with medical terminology and basic medical record processes
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a college or technical school preferred
- Medical Terminology Certification upon hire preferred
- Medical insurance and billing experience preferred
- Experience with computerized scheduling or relational databases preferred
