Additionally, soft tissue repair is performed to ensure proper healing and function of the knee. The procedure typically begins with obtaining radiographs to confirm the presence of a fracture and conducting a neurovascular examination to assess the integrity of the nerves and blood vessels around the injury site. The surgical approach is usually anterior, allowing for direct access to the patella.
