2. Procedure

The procedure for sperm identification from testis tissue involves several critical steps that ensure accurate results.

  • Step 1: Tissue Retrieval The first step involves obtaining testicular tissue through a separately reportable aspiration or biopsy procedure. This is performed by a qualified healthcare professional who carefully extracts a small sample of tissue from the testis.
  • Step 2: Tissue Preparation Once the tissue is retrieved, it is minced into very small segments to increase the surface area for examination.
