The DBQ Reviewer collaborates with medical professionals to ensure the completeness and accuracy of complex medical documentation and examination processes. Responsibilities include reviewing complex medical exam reports for completeness and adherence to VA guidelines, documenting quality issues and escalating as needed, providing feedback to healthcare providers, handling complex case reviews, meeting productivity and quality targets, and staying current with standard operating procedures and policies. The role requires mandatory virtual training for the first 6 weeks.
Education and experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree preferred), and at least 1 year of medical field experience (as a scribe, military corpsman/medic, certified medical assistant, or biller/coder) or 1 year in a healthcare quality analyst role, or 6 months conducting QA reviews of DBQs per VA and MDE standards.
Candidate must have deep knowledge of medical terminology, quality assurance methodologies, strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- Minimum 1 year experience in medical field roles (scribe, Military Corpsman/Medic, Certified Medical Assistant, biller/coder) OR 1 year as Quality Analyst in healthcare OR 6 months experience with DBQ QA reviews
