The DBQ Reviewer will collaborate with medical professionals to support the completeness and accuracy of complex medical documentation and examination processes. They confirm examinations cover all medical issues listed, ensure medical providers use appropriate reporting forms, and that documentation meets established standards.
Responsibilities include reviewing complex medical exam reports for completeness, identifying and documenting quality issues with escalation as needed, working directly with healthcare providers to provide feedback and assist with report revisions, handling escalated complex cases, meeting productivity and quality targets, adhering to SOPs and policies, and performing other assigned tasks.
Candidates should have at least 1 year of medical field experience (e.g., Scribe, Military Corpsman/Medic, Certified Medical Assistant, biller/coder), or 1 year of healthcare quality analyst experience, or at least 6 months conducting QA reviews of DBQs according to VA and MDE requirements.
Applicants must possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical conditions, quality assurance methodologies, excellent communication skills, computer proficiency (especially Microsoft tools), analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.
There is a mandatory 6-week remote training period (Mon-Fri, 9 AM - 5:30 PM EST) requiring on-camera attendance and professional attire.
