The DBQ Reviewer collaborates with medical professionals to ensure the completeness and accuracy of complex medical documentation and examinations, confirming veterans have been examined for listed medical issues following VA standards.
Responsibilities include examining complex medical exam reports for accuracy and VA guideline adherence, identifying and escalating quality issues, interacting with healthcare providers to provide feedback, reviewing complex cases, maintaining productivity and quality targets, adhering to SOPs and policies, and performing additional tasks.
Education requires a high school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's preferred). Experience needed includes at least 1 year in medical roles such as scribe, medic, certified medical assistant, biller/coder, or 1 year as a healthcare quality analyst, or 6 months of QA reviews of DBQs per VA and MDE requirements.
Skills include deep knowledge of medical terminology and quality assurance, strong communication, computer proficiency (Microsoft tools), analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work schedule is Monday-Friday 9 AM to 5:30 PM EST with an initial 6-week mandatory remote training via Zoom requiring active participation and professional conduct.

- Minimum 1 year relevant professional experience as Quality Analyst in healthcare

- Deep knowledge of medical terminology, conditions, and quality assurance methodologies
