Southwoods Health is seeking a detail-oriented ROI Specialist to manage the release of medical records across all our facilities. You will ensure the integrity and security of patient information while assisting with appeals, denials, and medical necessity reviews.
Responsibilities include processing and logging medical record requests into the ROI database in accordance with HIPAA regulations, fulfilling requests securely via portals or email, collecting, scanning, and indexing records into the EMR system, acting as the primary contact for requesters, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with OSHA, ODH, and The Joint Commission standards, and supporting departmental performance improvement and clerical tasks.
Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of Health Information Management experience, comprehensive HIPAA knowledge, exceptional attention to detail, strong prioritization, professional demeanor, Bachelor's degree, and RHIT certification.
- Minimum 3 years of Health Information Management (HIM) experience preferred
