The US Oncology Network is seeking a Scheduler to join the team at Texas Oncology, supporting the Plano West location. This full-time position works Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role can be entry level (Level 1), Level 2, or Senior level based on the candidate's experience.
Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country, with over 600 providers across 220+ sites in Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based cancer care.
This role involves scheduling patient appointments and tests efficiently, answering and directing incoming calls, and serving as a liaison between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities may include scheduling outpatient appointments, surgeries, hospital admissions, obtaining pre-certifications, handling insurance authorizations, collecting copays, maintaining scheduling templates, and arranging financial counseling as needed.
Candidates should understand patient confidentiality and US Oncology Compliance Program standards.
Qualifications vary by level:
- Level 1: High school diploma, 0-3 years experience preferably in a medical office, knowledge of medical terminology and coding a plus, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Level 2: Minimum 3 years office experience, preferably in a medical office.
- Senior Level: Minimum 5 years medical office experience, required knowledge of medical terminology and coding.
Physical demands include prolonged sitting, manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
Work environment is office-based, involving contact with patients and public.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and coding (required for senior level, a plus for entry).
