Revenue Cycle Manager

Ignite your career as a Revenue Cycle Manager and lead the charge in optimizing financial performance within a dynamic laboratory environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire revenue cycle process. Your expertise will drive efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, ensuring the organization maximizes revenue while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Manage daily operations of billing, coding, and collections to improve cash flow.

Identify, analyze, and appeal denied claims to minimize losses and resolve complex billing issues.

Develop workflows and internal controls to ensure accurate billing and regulatory compliance.

Maintain account management, communications with insurance providers, collections, and billing services.

Ensure accurate CPT, ICD-10, and modifier coding for lab tests in accordance with CMS and payer regulations.

Monitor key metrics like clean claim rate, aging accounts receivable, and reimbursement yield.

Oversee the hiring and training of support staff.

Provide regular reports and updates to senior management about the status and performance of the revenue cycle.

Manage department staff performance by providing regular feedback.

Ensure proper procedures and coding are in place.

Plan and structure the department workflow and staffing.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer regulations.

Efficiently manage complaints and concerns related to billing and collections.

Work environment is professional office setting; standard office equipment is used.

Physical demands include lifting and moving items over 50 pounds and extended periods of standing, stooping, or sitting.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.

Education and Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in healthcare administration, finance, business, or related field
  • 5+ years of clinical laboratory billing or healthcare revenue cycle management experience
  • Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and laboratory billing requirements
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIMS) and billing platforms
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical billing software
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
